BEAVERTON, Ore. – Biamp, a leading supplier of professional audiovisual solutions, today announced the recipients of its 2024 Grant Program, awarding six organizations that leverage audiovisual technology to enhance the lives of youth in their communities. The program recognized five Portland-area organizations and one international recipient, each receiving grants ranging from $3,000 to $10,000.

The 2024 grant recipients and their impactful work include:
1. Dana Thompson Memorial Fund of Awesome (Portland, OR): Provides music education and performance opportunities to underserved youth, fostering creativity and self-expression through audiovisual technology.
2. My Voice Music (Portland, OR): Empowers at-risk youth through songwriting and music production programs, utilizing state-of-the-art recording equipment to help participants share their stories.
3. Friends of Noise (Portland, OR): Offers all-ages concerts and workshops, teaching youth about sound engineering and event production while providing safe spaces for artistic expression.
4. Portland Symphonic Girlchoir (Portland, OR): Uses advanced audio technology to enhance choral education and performance experiences for young women, promoting musical excellence and personal growth.
5. Youth Music Project (Portland, OR): Delivers accessible music education through after-school programs and summer camps, integrating modern music technology to engage students in contemporary music creation.
6. Hear & Say (Australia): Supports children with hearing loss through innovative auditory-verbal therapy programs, leveraging cutting-edge audio technology to improve communication skills and quality of life.
The Biamp charitable leadership committee selected these organizations for their innovative use of audiovisual technology and their commitment to enriching local and underserved communities.
Beyond the grant program, Biamp actively supports various global organizations and encourages employee volunteerism.
